What’s going on?
Not wanting to sound like I’m giving an excuse for not writing but these past couple weeks have been busy. What with friends from AK and CA visiting and bachelor/bachelorette parties, a birthday, a rehearsal dinner, and a wedding… we’ve been a bit exhausted.
Mat and I are very different in how we recharge. For every four hours I’m social I need six to myself – to sleep, read, write, play games, browse the ‘puter, whatever – at home. Mat tends to recharge in the company of friends, he’s a bit more of a social being than I am… hard to tell, right? Heh.
Since we’ve been married, Mat’s seen the benefit of spending time alone, with me, at home. I’m definitely a home-body and he’s learned to appreciate it which I appreciate. But let’s be honest, it probably makes it easier for him now that we are living in a place we love. When we first got married we lived in an apartment and hated going home. As my dear Acacia would put it, “We almost moved here but then decided the apartments were ghetto.”
Acacia. You are correct. I know that now.
Anywho…
One thing Mat and I did this past weekend that was super enjoyable was have my photographer friend, Kimberly, take some photos of us around Olympia. Of the five I’ve seen so far, this one is my favorite:

I feel like this could be an ad for something: perfume? deodorant? vacation deals? skateboards? a clothing line? I mean, wouldn’t you want to buy whatever it is we’re promoting? I know I would.
